What does meta-level mean anyway…?

Any consistent modelization must somehow be expressible in the language of Category Theory, the underlying coherent structure of any viable theory. Think networks, with links between nodes. Now in real life we encounter blocks, problems, things that we don’t understand. In Mathematics that’s a reflection of the fact that we have some missing information, which is usually inaccessible if we stay on the ground level, at the simple Category Theory level. Things clarify when we lift to a higher level, referred to as the Higher Category level, where in addition to nodes and connections between them… you also need to see how various connections are linked between themselves, and how various such links are related to each other, etc… By iterating this escalation in seeking higher links, you lift yourself up to a higher level where connections are much broader, and also less evident as a result, which by the way explains why most people experience difficulty having a clear vision of their situations. That process of going into higher connections, that’s working at the meta-level. In other terms me saying I work at that level, this means I actively work outside the box, thereby getting a bird’s eye view of a problem, and repeating that at every stage if necessary. At some point things eventually click into place.
